Could not agree more with this! I run a media brand focused on optimism and problem solving across New England. The local focus helps people connect and find value more easily than learning about global stories. My work has been very well recieved-- people are hungry for optimism!

Excellent article and nice to see we are tackling the right problems. I would add to the conversation that while it is good to work on the supply side of the equation, we also must work on the demand side. The surge of illegal immigration creates unneeded excess demand and squeezes out Americans ability to get fair housing. Sadly the impact is greatest on the least fortunate at the lower end of the income spectrum who need to compete for the scarce resources of housing with people that are often subsidized, adding to the unfair advantage. Course correcting the unfortunate mistake and properly removing illegal entrants to the country will have a compounding effect of allowing Americans to not only see the increased supply your proposals will bring, but no longer having to compete for that supply on an unfair playing field. And to your point about attitude, it would have the add on benefit of reminding the citizenry that the government does care about American citizens and that is where their priorities lay.
